Beijing, China | 05 February 2026

China’s Ministry of Commerce launched the 2026 series of its “Big Market for All: Export to China” initiative with a flagship event in Beijing on 4 February 2026.

Commerce Minister Wang Wentao stated the series, which will feature over 100 events throughout the year, reflects China’s proactive efforts to broaden its opening-up, boost imports, and foster more balanced trade growth. The initiative invited the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Kenya, and Thailand to serve as annual theme countries for 2026.

The ministry stated the program aims to enhance supply-demand matching and strengthen international exchanges, bringing more high-quality foreign products and services to the Chinese market. The UK became the first country to sign a memorandum of understanding for cooperation under this framework during Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit to China in late January 2026.
