Who is MBS?

The prince’s meteoric rise to power was the first show of his political tenacity. He wasn’t in line to inherit the throne but wouldn’t let a minor issue like succession stand in his way.
His aggressive and modern approach to governance is straightforward.
MBS has used the destabilisation of Western powers as a springboard for Saudi Arabia to become the next global superpower.

Development and tourism

His core focuses have been development and tourism.
Redefining the face of architecture has been one of his goals.
The Saudi government recently greenlit several residential and commercial developments, including “The Line” and “Trojena”. These multi-billion dollar projects will see massive structures being erected across the desert.

Opponents of the developments have criticised the Saudi government for having unsustainable and environmentally damaging goals. The transport of most of the materials will be fossil fuel-driven. With the economy expected to grow, MBS has turned his attention to political alliances.

The country is hosting peace talks in an attempt to ease the tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
MBS Appears to have coordinated a multi-faceted offensive that will see him become a significant player in the political, energy, technology, developmental and diplomatic spaces.
