WATCH: Here’s what you can expect for this year’s Christmas decor trends

Upside Down Christmas Trees:

Aldik Home in California is at the forefront of a new trend featuring upside-down Christmas trees.
Supporters of this trend argue that it saves floor space at the bottom while utilising unused air space at the top.
The upside-down tree can be decorated like a chandelier, offering a fresh, space-saving alternative.

Barbie Pink-themed Decorations:

Soft pinks, peaches, and Barbie pink are popular colour choices for Christmas decorations.
The Barbie pink trend is attributed to the popularity of the Barbie movie.
Pink is often mixed with gold or used in monochromatic schemes for a glamorous look.

All-White Christmas Trees:

The hottest trend for the year is the use of all-white Christmas trees, either flocked or adorned with all-white trimmings.
White trees create a snowy appearance, and the baby’s breath is suggested to enhance the snow effect.

Woodland Theme:

The woodland trend incorporates natural elements such as jute, burlap, and moss, creating an organic and earthy aesthetic.

Pale Pink and Blush Trend:

This trend features pale pink and blush colours, often combined with gold, for added glamour.
Wrapping presents in vintage wallpaper is suggested to extend the colour palette.

Soft Neutrals Trend:

The soft neutrals trend focuses on a more monochromatic color scheme, creating a calming aesthetic for holiday decor.

Vintage and Retro Decor:

Geary’s in Beverly Hills emphasises a more discreet elegance with vintage and retro Christmas decor.
This year’s trend for their clients is vintage and retro pieces, including old Saint Nick, fine china gingerbread houses, and crystal table trees.

Emphasis on Tradition:

Geary’s CEO, Thomas J. Blumenthal, believes in the importance of Christmas decor reflecting tradition.
The big trend for clients involves vintage items and creating new traditions, focusing on building heirlooms for future generations.
Overall, these trends showcase the diversity and creativity in Christmas decorating styles, ranging from unconventional upside-down trees to classic and elegant vintage themes.
