South Africa’s State of the Nation: Here’s what Ramaphosa said

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his final State of the Nation Address for the current administration, highlighting key achievements and outlining a vision for the future.

In his address, President Ramaphosa focused on several salient points:

Economic Recovery: The President acknowledged the challenges faced by the economy, emphasizing progress in job creation, economic reforms, and the revitalization of key sectors.

Youth Unemployment: Addressing the persistent issue of youth unemployment, the President outlined initiatives and programs aimed at providing opportunities and work experience for young South Africans.

Anti-Corruption Efforts: President Ramaphosa detailed the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption, highlighting the success in prosecuting those responsible for state capture and recovering stolen funds.

Economic Growth and Infrastructure: The President discussed efforts to revive the economy, improve energy infrastructure, and implement a just energy transition to promote green industries.
