In the heart of Katlehong, Johannesburg, lies the poignant tale of a young girl who, despite three decades of democracy in South Africa, still endures the harsh realities of poverty.
Sinoyolo, grows up in an impoverished community, she often goes to school hungry, a daily struggle that underscores the enduring inequalities.
As she dreams of a brighter future, her heartfelt wish is that, in the next 30 years, no child in her beloved Katlehong or beyond will have to face the same hardships, yearning for a South Africa where every child’s basic needs are met.
We step in her shoes as she narrates to us a day in her world.
