Western military experts and analysts have invariably emphasised that Iranian drones have proven their effectiveness in real battlefields and as a result have been met with great interest from many countries. In April, Iran launched an unprecedented 300 drones and missiles against Israel.

Israel and its allies did shoot them down after monitoring their movement, but Tehran’s unmanned aerial vehicles have gained popularity despite this. Defence and military researchers say many countries are interested in Tehran’s drones – with some indicating that they want to use them against powerful enemies like the United States and Israel.

Head of global risk and resilience at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) Jean-Marc Rickli also noted that that it costs more to intercept the inexpensive drones than purchase them and more importantly, it wears down the defender’s capabilities. Israel used its most expensive missiles to destroy the drones, the Tehran times reported.

Russia has been reportedly the number one purchaser of these drones, despite Moscow’s denial. Interest grew even wider after the drones were spotted in the Ukraine war. Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America.
It’s been reported that Terhan surpasses Beijing as a leading provider and has few competitors in its niche market. Experts believe that Iranian drones have proven efficiency in high altitude attacks and combat situations.
