This group of eight Russian youngsters helped BGTN craft the pilot program for future student t exchanges.
“The world of journalism was opened for me by a woman named Helen Heldenmuth. She saw talent in me that could be developed in the news arena,” said BGTN Head of channel.

MGIMO students visited several heritage sites and tourist spots. They also attended youth dialogues at the University of Johannesburg.
As part of the newsroom experience, students could also try their hands at field reporting. They interviewed residents in the Alexandra township in Johannesburg and learned how to present on camera. The group also produced segments that aired during the BGTN soft launch on Startimes in August.
