On August 22, 2025, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva delivered a speech at a civil society meeting held within the framework of the V Summit of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organisation (ACTO) in Bogotá, Colombia. The summit brought together leaders and civil society representatives from Amazonian countries to discuss environmental protection, sustainable development and regional cooperation.
