The “Digitalisation of Industrial Russia” (CIPR) conference, held in May in Nizhny Novgorod, has once again underscored its significance as a premier event in the digital transformation landscape. This year, the conference not only attracted global tech leaders but also saw a notable presence of Indian tech business representatives. Their active participation as speakers and contributors to the business program highlighted the growing synergy between India and Russia in the tech sector.

A Hub for Digital Transformation

CIPR has firmly established itself as Russia’s leading business event focused on the digital economy. The 2024 edition witnessed participation from over 10,000 individuals from 25 countries, including delegations from 15 countries and 140 foreign delegates representing 50 companies. The conference serves as a crucial platform for dialogue between government officials and the business community, facilitating discussions on the digital transformation of society and key economic sectors.

Indian Delegation’s Active Participation

Indian tech business representatives played a significant role in this year’s CIPR. Their active participation as speakers underscored the growing collaboration between India and Russia in the field of digital technology. Indian delegates contributed to various sessions, sharing insights on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure development. Their presence highlighted India’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and leveraging global platforms for technological advancement.

Strengthening Russian-Indian Business Relations

The CIPR 2024 conference marked a significant milestone in strengthening Russian-Indian business relations. The cooperation between the two nations has already yielded tangible projects, with plans underway to establish a Russian-Indian research center for hardware and software in one of India’s states. Additionally, several Indian-Russian joint ventures have been launched, and more Russian companies intend to open local offices in India in the future.

The collaboration between India and Russia extends across various fields, including energy, technology and science, space, and IT. Russian IT companies are making substantial inroads into the Indian market, offering solutions in industries like telecom and medicine. The CIPR conference facilitated dialogue between the two countries, enabling representatives to interact, share insights, and sign agreements.

Key Highlights and Discussions

The conference featured a robust business program with over 700 speakers. Key topics included the development of IT solutions, software import substitution, and the creation of industrial centers of competence. The discussions aimed at addressing the challenges and opportunities in the digital economy, with a focus on innovation and sustainable growth.

One of the significant outcomes of the conference was the announcement of the first results of the Competence and Innovation Centers (CIC) work and the launch of the second wave of projects for IT solution development. These initiatives are expected to drive the digital transformation of key sectors in Russia, fostering a more resilient and competitive economy.

Networking and Innovation

CIPR has become a vital environment for networking and innovation development. The conference provided a platform for leading companies to present their latest developments and solutions. It also facilitated numerous meetings between industry leaders and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The 2024 edition of CIPR has once again demonstrated its importance as a catalyst for digital transformation and international collaboration. The active participation of Indian tech business representatives highlights the growing synergy between India and Russia in the digital domain. As both nations continue to explore new avenues for cooperation, events like CIPR will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the global digital economy.
