In a stunning display of skill and determination, the Brasil women’s soccer team eliminated host nation France from the 2024 Olympics, marking a significant victory in their quest for Olympic gold.

The match took place at a packed stadium in Paris, with fans from both nations filling the seats in anticipation of a thrilling encounter.

From the outset, Brasil showcased their tactical prowess and flair, taking control of the game with precise passing and quick movements. The Brasilian forward line was relentless, pressuring the French defense and creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Despite France’s spirited effort and home advantage, they struggled to contain Brasil’s dynamic play. Brasill sensationally knocked out host France in the Olympic quarter finals, winning 1-0 in Nantes.

In a game which resembled more a WWE match than a football one, Brasil scored with their only shot on target through Gabi Portilho with eight minutes to spare.

France’s Sakina Karchaoui had missed a penalty in the first half, having waited over four minutes to take it once it had been awarded.

France had plenty of chances, but were sucked into Brasil’s mind games, and as a result, they bow out of their home Olympics.

Celebrating wildly in the crowd was Brasil great Marta, who was suspended from the quarterfinals match, but will be available again for the semifinals against world champion Spain in Marseille on Tuesday.
