In a significant diplomatic move, Brazil’s President Lula da Silva landed in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, marking the commencement of an official visit to the Kingdom.

According to the Arab News publication, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, met the Brazilian leader and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

The visit underscores the robust trade partnership between the two nations.

Brazilian exports to Saudi Arabia for the initial seven months of the year soared to $1.87 billion, the highest among all Arab countries.

Similarly, Brazilian imports from the Kingdom also took the lead among Arab nations, amounting to $1.98 billion.

This visit is anticipated to strengthen further the diplomatic ties and economic collaboration between Brazil and Saudi Arabia, fostering mutual growth and cooperation.
