BGTN, BRICS Global Television Network, brings you a boxing tournament with local champions – like no other.
The channel has partnered with Anton Gilmore of the Box Office Gym – to bring you MasterBox.
This thrilling blow by blow tournament will take place at the Club House Grill in southern Johannesburg on the 25th of November 2023 from 14:30 – broadcast live on BGTN, StarSat channel 120.
While there are a number of fights – the battle is on for the Lionel Hunter Trophy.
Indiya Ellis fights Daniella Lloyd, while Astley van Wyk takes on Wiek Routs.
Also among those fighting is Jared Lovett, returning to the ring after a long hiatus – taking on Johnny Anthony for the SA Master Box Title.
And then there is the question, can an MMA fighter beat a boxer? We have Ashley Calvert fighting boxer Greig Walker for the Master Box Gauteng Super Middleweight Title.
In the heavy weight division, we see Bevan Beckman take on Luke Sutherland in an elimination fight for the SA title.
Meanwhile, with age not a factor, 60-year-old James Sey – a master of 52 fights – will take on a much younger Riaz Morgan, a coach from Lenasia.
Box Office will also be showcasing their star pupils from the Fight with Insight project, with 4 students who have risen out of the Rosettenvile area to become leaders in the project.
It looks after 300 children in 4 gyms across Johannesburg, all with disadvantaged backgrounds.
