From September 8 to September 10, 2025, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hosted the Africa Climate Summit 2025, co-convened by the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Government of Ethiopia. - Africa Climate Innovation Compact: A continental initiative aiming to mobilize $50 billion annually to support climate solutions across Africa, including the creation of the African Climate Facility, targeting 1,000 climate solutions by 2030 (reuters.com).
