According to the latest Mercer Cost of Living Survey, Dubai and Tel Aviv have emerged as the most expensive cities in the Middle East for expatriates. Dubai holds the top spot in the region, ranking 15th globally, while Tel Aviv closely follows at 16th globally. The survey highlights significant cost disparities across the region, with Tunis and Ankara identified as the most affordable cities.

Dubai leads the Middle East as the most expensive city for expats, standing at 15th place in the global rankings. Tel Aviv, another costly city for expatriates, is ranked 16th globally. The survey examines various factors, including housing, food, transportation, and other living expenses, to determine the co

In contrast, Tunis and Ankara are positioned as the least expensive cities in the Middle East, ranking 210th and 208th globally, respectively. These cities offer more affordable living conditions, making them attractive options for expats seeking cost-effective alternatives in the region.

The Mercer Cost of Living Survey, conducted annually by the global consulting firm Mercer, provides comprehensive insights into the living costs in cities worldwide. The survey’s findings are particularly relevant for expatriates considering relocation, as they help in understanding and planning for potential expenses.

The article draws comparisons between Dubai and Tel Aviv, highlighting notable differences in prices for essential items such as housing, food, and transportation. These comparisons offer valuable information for expats to gauge the financial implications of living in these cities.

The rankings underline the diverse economic landscapes across the Middle East. While Dubai and Tel Aviv stand out for their high living costs, Tunis and Ankara present more affordable living conditions, reflecting the economic diversity within the region.

The Mercer Cost of Living Survey’s latest findings underscore the high cost of living in Dubai and Tel Aviv for expatriates, contrasting sharply with the affordability of Tunis and Ankara. As expats navigate their relocation decisions, such data provides essential insights into the financial realities of living in various Middle Eastern cities.
