South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived at Palam Air Force Station.

He was treated to traditional Indian dancing upon his arrival.

Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor and Indian Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines, Mr Shri Dave Raosaheb Dadarao and South African High Commissioner to India, Mr Sbu Ndebele, were part of Ramaphosa’s welcome committee.

Ramaphosa is expected to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit scheduled on 09-10 September 2023 in New Delhi, India.

The summit will be held under the theme “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. The Summit is also expected to admit the 55-member African Union into the fold.

South Africa is already a member of the G20. “Its participation seeks to provide a strategic foresight in establishing an economic and international policy platform that will drive and negotiate the best possible outcomes for the country, Africa and the developing world,” said the government’s communication agency.
