South African mixed martial arts fighter Cameron Saaiman is headed back to Las Vegas, United States, tonight, ahead of his upcoming fight against American Payton Talbott.
The two bantamweight fighters will meet in the UFC APEX ring on 23 March 2024.
Saaiman is hoping to redeem himself following last year’s 23 October defeat to Christian Rodriguez during a thrilling three-round bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 81. Saaiman suffered his first professional defeat in MMA when Rodriguez was declared the winner by unanimous decision.
But he’s not ready to give up on Vegas yet. Saaiman, better known as the “Most Savage Player”, is hoping to bring back a win from the UFC Fight Night: Ribas vs. Namajunas event as he takes on unbeaten bantamweight Payton Talbott (7-0-0).

Saaiman is already being hailed as the future of the sport by none other than, UFC CEO and president, Dana White. The 23-year-old says that being rated highly by the boss serves to motivate him to do well in the UFC.
“It is an absolute compliment and it’s an honor to be called that by the bossman himself. If anything, I think it added a lot of motivation. Since I started as a professional, I turned pro when I was 18 and there was a lot of criticism because of that, and I had to prove myself every single time.” Saaiman said.

Firm supporter of Saaiman, BRICS Global Television Network, is looking forward to the fight and will follow the event with great interest. BGTN’s CEO, Trevor Bester, believes Cameron is the next big thing after Dricus du Plessis. He says, “There is no doubt that Cameron Saaiman will become the next MMA Champion to come out of Pretoria, South Africa.”
