As the demand for flights between China and Saudi Arabia increases, the two countries have signed a civil aviation cooperation agreement to launch two new flight routes.
The newly introduced routes between the countries are the third and fourth connections following the recently introduced Riyadh-Beijing and Jeddah-Beijing routes.
The new routes will increase air travel capacity, creating more travel options and boost greater tourism, trade and cultural exchanges.
The head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Song Zhiyong expressed his willingness to partner with his visiting Saudi counterpart to grow the number of flights and routes between their respective countries.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding and discussed their new upcoming developments in their strategic partnership.
The national carrier, Saudi Arabian Airlines, currently operates direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Beijing and Guangzhou.
China remains Saudi Arabia’s largest trading partner with the Kingdom one of its main oil suppliers.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 focuses on the Kingdom becoming a leading aviation hub in the Middle East and the primary connection between the East and the West.
In 2022, The World Tourism Organization ranked Saudi Arabia the second-fastest growing tourism market among G20 countries.
The Kingdom has plans to continue increasing its air travel capacity and aims to attract more than 100 million visitors by 2030.
