The 2024 X BRICS Youth Summit will be held from 22 to 26 July in Ulyanovsk. Registration for the summit started on 3 April and aims to unite young leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, UAE, and Ethiopia. The X BRICS Youth Summit presentation took place during the Russia exhibition at VDNKh. It was attended by authorities of Russian foreign missions, specialists in international relations, future diplomats and students at Russian universities were present.
Diana Kovela, the deputy head of the Russia-BRICS Project Office for International Youth Cooperation, mediated the meeting at the presentation. She proceeded to address participants as follows; “It is no coincidence that this year Ulyanovsk was repeatedly chosen as the venue for the summit, as it has everything necessary to organise a meeting of young leaders at a decent level. I ask everyone who considers themselves an active young leader to fill in the questionnaire for participation in the summit without putting it off.
Registration will last until 10 June. Artem Miroshnikov, the minister of Youth Development of the Ulyanovsk region, says the region’s infrastructure capabilities enable it to acknowledge events of this extent. The minister expressed pride in their history and uniqueness stating that the region is the “motherland of talents”. He concluded that international events which take place in Ulyanovsk are directly attended to by Governor Aleksey Russkikh.
Head of the International Activities Division of the Youth Projects and Programmes Directorate of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Valeria Chernogorodova, outlined plans for the year and Rosmolodezh’s cooperation with BRICS countries. Kira Ivanova, the Project Office Coordinator, highlighted all successful 2024 projects. Tatyana Ivshina, Head of the Project Office, Executive Director of the Creative Industries Foundation of Ulyanovsk, addressed the summit program agenda.
