South Africa delivered a commanding performance in the Africa Cup of Nations, reviving their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Namibia in a Group E clash at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo on Sunday night.

29-year-old Percy Tau opened the scoring in the 14th minute, capitalising on a penalty awarded via VAR review for an inadvertent handball by Namibia’s Riaan Hanamub.

Tau, seeking redemption after missing a penalty in the previous match against Mali, ruthlessly converted to give Bafana the lead.

Themba Zwane stole the show with two outstanding goals, showcasing his prowess with a superb first-time finish in the 25th minute and another classy effort in the 40th minute.

Thapelo Maseko added a fourth in the second half, securing a comprehensive victory for the 1996 continental champions.

The result propelled South Africa to second place in Group E with three points, just one behind leaders Mali.

Namibia slipped to third place with three points, and Tunisia rounded the quartet with one point.

Despite Namibia’s early attacking attempts, they could not capitalise on chances, and South Africa’s dominance saw them secure a convincing win.

The teams will conclude their Group E campaigns on January 24, with South Africa facing Tunisia and Namibia taking on Mali.

Making it look so easy. 😉
