The manufacture and usage of unmanned, remotely piloted, and autonomous systems have been amongst some of the main ideas discussed at the Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) conference at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre. UDT is a leading global event, which focuses on undersea defence technology.

The conference is held annually in different venues throughout Europe. UDT is an exhibition that brings together leaders from the defence industry to provide nations with the knowledge and capabilities required to face various threats and challenges in one of the harshest environments known to mankind.

The annual UDT event offers a platform for individuals involved in the undersea defence sector to exchange knowledge on advanced technologies, network, and explore potential business opportunities.
It’s a gathering of high-ranking officials from the global naval community, representatives from defence ministries, technology suppliers, academia, and industry experts.

This year’s event has centred on “The Undersea Challenge”, which aims to explore all aspects of underwater defence and security. The event featured expert speakers discussing technical and scientific papers, advancements in the industry, and ways to tackle and prepare for maritime challenges and risks.

The event showcased the latest products and services, with demonstrations of a wide range of innovative and ground-breaking defence solutions. It also tracked competitor and collaborator activities, evaluated emerging trends and technologies, and facilitated new connections. The next event will be held next year and organisers are already promising an exhibition with an even more advanced and cutting-edge range of maritime solutions and undersea defence applications.
